Identity Partners invests in a range of businesses as long as the fundamental business case meets our investment criteria. Identity Partners also facilitates investments by other investors as well as access to finance for women and youth.
 
Inala Electronic testing and measurement company which provides telecommunications hardware and broadcasting components to telcos, broadcasters and the lottery (March 2008)
Sasol Identity Partners conceptualised and organised the Amandla Esizwe Consortium, one of the lead broad-based partners in the Selected Participants category of Sasol's BB-BEE transaction (April 2008)
Foskor Identity Partners organised and led the Umanyolo Consortium, the only women owned and managed strategic group in the greater Foskor BEE Consortium (Manyoro) (July 2009)
Etana Identity Partners is one of the shareholders in the Etana Women's Consortium. Etana is a dedicated business insurer and is part of the Hollard Group (July 2009)
Knorr-Bremse Knorr-Bremse SA (KB-SA) is a manufacturer of brake systems for rail and other commercial vehicles. Identity Partners is the only strategic BEE partner to KB-SA (November 2009)
Altech Netstar BEE transaction in relation to Altech Netstar, part of the greater Altech Group. The transaction was entered into with Thebe and Identity Partners (December 2009)
Identity Development Fund
  • Identity Partners have used their investment expertise to initiate and manage an SME Development Fund to provide financial and non-financial support to black women and youth owned small businesses
  • IDF has a strategic partnership with Anglo Zimele which incubated one of the Identity Partners, Polo Radebe prior to the establishment of IDF in February 2008
  • This partnership also gives the IDF access to Zimele's operational and infrastructural support and expertise sharing
  • IDF has secured an anchor funder and is currently on a capital raising exercise to raise further funds
  • IDF aims to earn positive social and commercial returns from its investments, and achieve the targeted hurdle rate therefore ensuring long-term sustainability of its intervention
  • Our vision is to lead private sector investment into SME development
